Creating and Managing the Parent Template - Residential

Creating and Managing the Parent Template
If you have the HTML for your property-specific header and footers in your emails you can add that HTML to the Parent Template which will import your header and footer on all emails that are being sent through the VTS Rise platform.

NOTE: The parent template must be in all HTML, if you need to include an image, it must be hosted on a webpage and then linked in the template. If you need help setting up the template, reach out to your Marketing , IT team or use this link to create HTML.

Step 1
From the Admin Portal, select Settings located in the left-hand menu and then select Email Templates.

Step 2
Select Edit next to the Parent Template email template.

Step 3
Configure the HTML for your parent template using this link. Leave any words in brackets as they are, they are hardcoded and connected to your property's settings. You can update the From email address and From name here.

To include an image banner in your Parent Template, update Line 23: <td class="layouts-here"><!--Pre Header -->
<td class="layouts-here"> [INSERT HOSTED IMAGE HERE] <!--Pre Header -->

This will insert a header into the emails sent out on your behalf.

Step 4
After you have finished configuring the HTML, you can preview the changes you have made or save the updates. Select the appropriate option at the bottom of the screen.
