Custom Configurations in Property Settings for Residential Admins

On the Admin Portal, you are able to configure some of the features of the platform through Property Settings. In this article, you will learn how to:
  1. Make changes to Visitor Passes
  2. Include Weather in Property App
  3. Edit your Property's Header Image
  4. Configure Marketplace Post Expirations
  5. Rise Kiosk Configurations
To get started, navigate to the Property Settings section by Settings in the menu and then Property Settings.

In Property Settings, you will find all of the options to configure the features you are using at your property. Property Settings has a lot of options and we recommend using Find, Control + F, to locate the appropriate section!

Managing Visitor Passes

The changes we can make to Visitor Passes include the duration of validity and messaging the end user receives when a pass is made for them.

To start, navigate down the Property Settings page until we reach the Visitor Pass subsection.

Other Visitor Pass Options in Property Settings

The default validity for pre-authorized visitors is 30 days, we can modify this to be 1 day, 1 week, 1 month, 6 months, or 1 year.

We can set the default timeframes for Rise Passes to easily match the building hours:

Visitor Pass Message: Messages that visitors receive can be edited at the building level. We can add information about building protocol for redeeming the visitor pass and gaining access, as well as information about an event being hosted that night.

It is possible to upload a PDF that all Visitor Pass recipients will receive. Typically we see things similar to the Custom Visitor Pass Message above, Building Check-In Protocol, COVID Guidelines, or featured amenities at the property.

Finally, we are able to configure how many minutes prior to start time the visitor pass is active. VTS Rise default is 15 minutes

Property Header Image

Under the Home Screen section, you can update the Cover Image under New Cover Image. Select Change Image to upload a new Image file.

In this same section, we can also update the building logo:

Setting Weather for App

To set up a weather widget in your property's app, include the city and zip code of your property in Property Settings. The weather will pull from these settings. If the name of your city exists in another country, include your country's initials after the name. For example: London, CA and London, GB.

Managing Marketplace Posts' Expirations

Marketplace Posts created by occupants will be set for a default 14 days on the platform. To increase or decrease this time you can find the How many Days should a Marketplace post be valid for? dropdown and select the option that best fits your property.

Rise Kiosk Configurable Settings

Rise Kiosk Settings are able to be configured at a property level and have to do with security, access of information, and occupant privacy.

On the visitor kiosk, we can change the way resident names are displayed on the kiosk. Options include first name; last name, last name; first name, last name; first initial, and first name; last initial.

You can also decide how you want the workflow to be after a visitor scans a Visitor Pass. Here, we can set if resident will receive a virtual call from the visitor kiosk when their visitor scans their Visitor Pass at the kiosk.
