Adding and Signing off on Packages at Commercial Properties

VTS Rise eliminates the need for paper logs to track packages and frees up staff so that they are not having to leave their station to enter the package room. In this article, you will learn:

Adding a Package

Step 1
Navigate to Packages in the app. 


Step 2
Select Scan Packages from the top right corner.
 


Step 3
Position the device over the label, ensuring you have a clear image, and take a picture. 
If you need to retake the photo, select the photo that you took under Package Photos and it will reopen the camera to take a new photo. If you need to include additional photos, select the camera icon.


Step 4
The scanner will attempt to match the name and or tenant information. 
  1. If there is a match the package details will auto-fill, upon confirming they are accurate select Submit. Once submitted a notification is sent to the package receiver, notifying them they have a package to pick up.
If the auto-fill is incorrect you can change any incorrect details by selecting the field you would like to change. 
  1. If there is not a match, you will be notified to manually enter the occupant and package details. 


Signing off on a Package

Step 1
Select Packages and locate the occupant’s package by selecting the filter at the top of the screen. You can search by occupant name or tenant.



Step 2
Select the package or packages you would like to sign off by selecting the box to the right of the package and select Mark as Picked Up.



Step 3
Have the occupant sign the device with their finger to indicate they have received the packages.



If your property is using Rise Receive: 

Staff members will be scanning packages into the Rise platform and placing them in your dedicated package receiving room.
  1. Occupants will receive a notification of a package being scanned in via email, and a push notification when logged into the app. 
  2. Occupants can locate their QR code on their personal app by selecting My QR Code quick action button from the home screen, or in the settings of their app. 

Step 1
The occupant scans their Personal QR Code at the Rise Receive tablet.



Step 2
The occupant selects the packages they wish to pick up and selects Pick Up to unlock the door and collect packages.
