Work Orders for Tenants

From the VTS Rise app and Tenant portal, it’s easy to manage and create work orders. In this article, you will learn how to create, edit and manage work orders using the VTS Rise app and Tenant Portal.

From the App

Creating a Work Order

Step 1
After logging into the app, select the Submit a Work Order quick action button on your app’s home screen or under features located at the bottom right corner of the app.



All existing work orders, of all statuses created by you will appear here. 

Step 2
Select New Work Order from the bottom of the screen and complete the new work order request form.


  1. Once created the work order will appear on your work order screen with a progress title. 
    1. PendingHas not been accepted by the maintenance staff yet.
    2. In Progress: Maintenance Staff has begun work on this Work Order
    3. Closed: Maintenance Staff has finished and closed this work order.

Step 3
Once a work order has been submitted you may open the work order and add a comment for staff to view and communicate back. To do so, tap on the work order, then select New Comment from the bottom of the screen, and add your comment. 


 

Requesting a Quote

If you would like to request a quote, you can do so while creating a work order.

Step 1
Follow the steps outlined above to create the work order.

Step 2
Toggle the option for Do you need a quote? This will alert property staff that you would like to receive an estimate task before work is begun on your work order.



Step 3
Staff will send you an estimate report allowing you to Accept or Reject the amount. 

Note: If you reject the amount, property staff will edit and resend a new estimate report.



From the Portal  

Step 1
After logging into the Tenant Portal, select Work Orders. This is located on the home screen as well as in the left side menu.
 


Step 2
All existing work orders created by or on behalf of the occupant will viewable from this screen.  Select Create Work Order.



Step 3
Complete the work order request form and select Create.



  1. Once created the work order will appear on the work order screen with a progress title added to the right side. You can edit the work order by clicking on the ticket from the work order screen.
    1. PendingHas not been accepted by the maintenance staff yet.
    2. In Progress: Maintenance Staff has begun work on this Work Order
    3. Closed: Maintenance Staff has finished and closed this work order.
