Adding and Signing off on Packages at Residential Properties

Adding and Signing off on Packages at Residential Properties

VTS Rise eliminates the need for paper logs to track packages and frees up staff so that they are not having to leave their station to enter the package room. In this article, you will learn:
  1. How to Scan Packages
  2. How to Mark Packages as Picked up
  3. How to use your Rise Receive Room

Scan Packages

Step 1
From your property's staff app, select Packages.

Step 2
Select Scan Packages from the upper right corner.

This will open a camera feature. Focus in on the recipient of the package, and take the picture.

Note: If the photo is blurry, you will need to retake the picture or enter the information on the right side.

The recipient information will populate after a clear picture is taken. You are also able to update or edit that information.

Step 3
Select SubmitThis will alert the package recipient that they have a package waiting to be picked up and their pickup location.

Mark Packages as Picked Up

Step 1
Under Packages, you will see the records of packages that have been scanned and are awaiting pickup.

Select the checkbox(es) next to the package(s) you would like to mark as picked up. Select Marked as Picked Up. This will send a notification to the recipient that it has been picked up.

Step 2
This will prompt a signature box.
Note: Either Property Admin, Staff, or Package Recipient can sign for the package. This is dependent on your property's workflow.

Filtering Package Results

You can quickly refine the package results to filter by Unit, Resident, Date Range, Pickup Location, or Carrier.

Step 1
Select the filter button at the top of the screen.

This will open the below filter options, making it easy to find the package you are looking for!

Marking Packages as Awaiting Pickup

If you marked a package Picked Up on error, you are able to change the status to Awaiting Pick Up.

Step 1
Under Picked Up, you can select the checkbox next to the package you would like to move back to Awaiting Pick Up and select Awaiting Pick Up towards the bottom. This will send a notification to the package recipient that the package was moved back to the Awaiting Pick Up queue.

If your property is using Rise Receive:

Staff members will be scanning packages into the Rise platform and placing them in your dedicated package receiving room.

  • Residents will receive a notification of a package being scanned in via email, and a push notification when logged into the app.
  • Residents can locate their QR code on their personal app by selecting the My QR Code quick action button from the home screen, or in the settings of their app.

Step 1

The Resident scans their Personal QR Code at the Rise Receive tablet.

Step 2

The Resident selects the packages they wish to pick up and then selects Pick Up to unlock the door and collect packages.
