Messaging for Residents
Within the Mobile App you are able message Building Staff and other Residents (based on your preferences) without using your personal phone number. This article will cover:

How to Send a Message
Step 1
To start, select Messages on the home screen.
Step 2
On the messages screen, select Create a Chat.
Step 3
Select Direct to send a message to a single person (resident or staff).
Step 4
This is the directory. From here you can search and select the person to communicate with.
Step 5
Send your message, the recipient will be immediately notified by the app (if they have push-notifications turned on) and see a notification when they next login.
Sending a Group Message
Step 1
To start, select Messages on the home screen.
Step 2
On the messages screen, select Create a Chat.
Step 3
On the messages screen, select Group.
Step 4
To create a group chat a Group Name, Description, and Participants are required. Once you've entered the Name and Description, select Add Participants.
Step 5
Using the directory search and select the residents and/or staff members you want to communicate with. When ready select Done in the top right.
Step 6
Confirm all the details are correct, and select Create.
Step 7
The group chat is now created, send your first message!
Controlling Privacy Settings
Step 1
To start, select My Profile through the top right icon.
Step 2
Next select Settings.
Step 3
Underneath messages are two toggles for People Chat and Group Chat. In this example both are turned on, to remove yourself from being messaged by other users deselect both toggles.
