Approve or Reject App Registrations for Commercial Admins
Approve or Reject App Registrations
If you are not integrating an accounting or access control system with VTS Rise, you may have occupants self-register for access through the Rise Office app or your property's branded app experience. In this article, you will learn how to:
- Approve single App Registrations
- Bulk approve App Registrations
- Reject App Registrations
- Email Domain Whitelisting
Approve App Registrations
Single Registrations
Step 1
After logging into the Admin Portal, select Operations from the left side menu and then select Occupant Management. From the drop-down menu, select Occupants.
Step 2
Next, select the App Registrations tab.
Step 3
Select the three dots next to the Occupant you want to approve and select Activate.
Bulk Approve Registrations
Select the box next to the names of those you want to approve. Open the Select Action drop-down box at the top of the screen and select Activate and then Submit.
Reject App Registrations
Select the box next to the registration(s) you would like to reject. Open the Select Action drop-down box at the top of the screen and select Delete. Finally, select Submit.
Once approved, the occupant will be granted access to both the app and portal and their contact information will be moved into User Management.
Quicker Sign-up for New Users with Email Domain Whitelisting
We've added an optional feature to streamline the sign-up experience for new occupants. When enabled for your property, a new field will appear under tenant details to add one or more email domains. New occupants with a whitelisted domain will be sent a verification email to ensure they have access to their email address in order to complete their registration. This not only simplifies sign-up for the occupant but also reduces app registration requests for Property Admins.
Example: VTS is a tenant with an email domain of vts.com. A new VTS employee named Sally Smith signs up for the VTS Rise app, selecting VTS as her company and entering
sally.smith@vts.com as her email address. Sally will then be sent an email to that email address asking her to confirm her email. Her account will then be approved.
To enable email domain whitelisting, contact your VTS Rise contact and check out
this article on how to set it up.
