Managing the Welcome Email - Residential

Managing the Welcome Email

Whenever a new resident has a profile created or synced over from your accounting integration, they will receive a welcome email prompting them to log in to the app and portal, giving them their login name, and prompting a password reset. You can personalize your welcome email by following the steps below!

Managing the Body Text


Step 1
From the admin portal, select Settings located in the left menu and then select Email Templates.


Step 2
Select Edit Next to the User Registration email template.


Step 3
Personalize your welcome email to fit your property. Leave any words in brackets as they are, they are hardcoded and connected to your property's settings. For example, [apple_store] and [google_store] connect to your property's app in their respective app stores. 



Step 4
After you have finished making your updates, select Save.

Adding a Banner

You are able to add your own branded banner to the welcome emails that get sent out to residents! 

Step 1
You will need to create a link for the banner image that is to be used. The sizing should be 650px long by 100px wide. Use this website to convert the image into a linkhttps://postimages.org/
Select Choose Images to select the photo you will be converting to a link.


Step 2
Copy the Direct Link.


Step 3
From the Property Management Portal, select Settings located in the left menu and then select Email Templates.


Step 4
Select Edit Next to the User Registration email template.

Step 5
Select the <> icon to access the source code of the email.


Step 6
Using this format, insert the link at the top of the source code.

Step 7
The Banner has now been added. Select Save when you are finished with edits.

Creating a New Email Template with a Yardi Integration

Yardi Integrated Properties are able to add additional Email Templates to be sent out to Residents. This allows you to send move-in surveys, assess Resident sentiment midway through their lease, or share move-out procedures in a completely automated way.
Note: This feature can only be utilized by Yardi Sync Enabled Properties.
Step 1
From the admin portal, select Settings located in the left menu and then select Email Templates.


Step 2
Select New Template.


Step 3
Add the content and use the integrated editor to format text and link needed resources.


Step 4
Configure when the email is sent out to Residents, including setting a specific day or month after move-in or before move-out.
Step 5
Preview the email before you activate it to send to Residents. After you have reviewed, select Save & Activate.
